Redefine Classic: A Cultural and Elegant Living Space

Residence Inspired by Eastern Classic Sash Window

The main element of this project is lattice iron, which is used to bring a touch of Eastern charm to the space. Combined with the client's rich collection of classic designed furniture, the result is a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary design. The designer's intention was to create a space that exudes a sense of softness with rigidity, offering a comfortable and elegant living environment.

One of the strengths of this design lies in its ability to cater to the client's needs. The original three-room structure was adjusted to two rooms, allowing for an expanded public area and a smoother circulation throughout the space. Additionally, the designer incorporated plenty of hidden storage cabinets, ensuring that the space remains cozy and tidy.

The color palette used throughout the living room, dining room, and bedrooms is simple yet sophisticated, further enhancing the modern metropolitan style of the residence. The designer also paid careful attention to the display of the client's massive antique collections, creating a proper display area that seamlessly integrates with the overall design.

Technologically, the design features customized furniture, marble walls, system panels, and iron parts. These elements, combined with the designer's meticulous attention to detail, contribute to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the space.

Completed in June 2019 in Taipei City, Taiwan, "Redefine Classic" is a testament to Han-Chung Liu's ability to create a space that is both visually stunning and highly functional. The project has been recognized with the prestigious A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category, further solidifying its status as a well-designed and innovative creation.

With its unique blend of Eastern classic and contemporary modern interior design, this residence offers a stylish and culturally rich living experience. Han-Chung Liu's ability to seamlessly integrate classic elements with modern sensibilities has resulted in a space that is truly one-of-a-kind.
